Abstract

A good correlation between trunk diameter and dry weight of Acacia mangium and Acacia auriculiformis was observed with eight trees of each species. Then the biomass of seven-year-old tree stands was calculated. The value of 120 to 130 t/ha for aerial biomass was in the same range as the biomass of eucalyptus plantation on the same soil. Acacia mineralomass was very low, except for nitrogen.
