Abstract

Rangeland vegetation is heterogenous by nature, so biomass analysis using classical methods is inadequate because it is based on the assumption of a normal distribution of sample measurements extracted from a homogenous population. It is better to characterize biomasses with the median and to use non-parametrical tests for comparisons.
