A strain of Mycoplasma capricolum, in association with Mycoplasma bovigenitalium has been isolated from the semen of an apparently: healthy bull. The isolation of Mycoplasma capricolum from cattle has already been reported several times and these observations challenge the dogma of host specificity. The authors suggest that further research works should be carried on the relationships of Mycoplasma capricolum and the other bovine mycoplasmoses as well as on the serological cross reactions.
