Abstract

The authors make an assessment of bacterial micro-organisms isolated from mastitis milks taken from Montbeliard and Pakistani cows imported in Senegal. In spite of the relatively smalt number of samples, 6 types of monobacterial aetiology mastitis are identified, staphylococcic, streptococcic, colibacillary, Corynebacterium pyogenes, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Serratia marcescens, as well as various polybacterial forms ; in particular, two varieties of Acinobacter calcoaceticus have been revealed. Chronic mastitis appeared to be numerous, provoking simultaneous or successive settlement of bacteria.
