Abstract

A serological survey of 531 horse serum samples shows the persistence of African horse sickness virus (AHS) in many identified foci throughout the country. The role of vectors in the transmission of AHS is certainly very significant but the problem of the virus reservoir during the dry season is not yet elucidated.
