Abstract

This review serves as a reminder of qualification standards for specific richness of the pastoral flora, illustrated with Mauritanian, Burkinabian, Chadian and Cameroonian examples. Relations between the floristic richness and productivity, potentiality of the environment, human pressureare considered and a global model of variability is proposed.
