Experiments were carried out in order to identify products, which, in animal odour, are attractive for Glossina tachinoides, by the CRTA, at Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso. Phenolic derivatives partly simulated the bovine odour effect. Addition of octenol, although not efficient atone, reinforced this attractive efficiency. It allows to expect the medium-term possibility to use attractant’s traps for waterside tsetse flies.
