Abstract

The diagnosis of paratuberculosis has been made for the first time in Senegal in cattle imported from France. The circumstances of Mycobacterium paratuberculosis isolation are reported. Culture particularities of the germ are evoked and discussed. The author concludes on the necessity to apply sanitary rules decided in this matter.
