Information for peer reviewers

The editors of the Revue d'élevage et de médecine vétérinaire des pays tropicaux rely on the expertise of peer reviewers in the relevant field to determine whether submitted manuscripts are suitable for publication (or not).

As a first step, evaluators are invited to consult :

Online review

To help you make the most of your review, here's some information about the online evaluation process:

Step 1: I accept or refuse the evaluation

  1. You receive an e-mail asking you to evaluate an article for the REMVT journal. In this e-mail, a link (submission URL) will give you access to the article's abstract (tab "1: Request"). You must select "Accept the review" or "Refuse the review request", depending on your availability or your scientific interests, which may or may not correspond to the theme of the article. You can also declare the absence or possible existence of conflicts of interest (or competing interests);
  2. Once you've agreed to take the assessment, you'll be directed to the "2. Guidelines" tab, where you'll find out how to proceed.

Step 2: I read the documents and send my report

  1. In the "Download and review" tab, you can download the documents to be evaluated (Evaluation files), enter your comments in the evaluation form (REMVT 2022 Evaluation form), upload any files (e.g. the article with your comments) and give us your opinion (Recommendation).
  2. You don't have to take the assessment right away; you can return to it at any time, via the link indicated in the e-mail you received earlier. All files are in Word format and anonymous. You can contact the editor in charge of the manuscript if you wish.
  3. On the same tab, at the bottom of the page, you can authorize (or not) the transfer of information to the site. ReviewerCredits.com.
  4. Don't forget to click on "submit review" to validate your evaluation report or "save for later" to save your work.
  5. A new page will open to send an e-mail to the editor in charge of this article.
