Abstract

The author describes the properties and manufacturing of a bipyramid trap. Building details are provided. It is easy to handle, settle and dismantle for transportation and does not need any special preparation such as an insecticidal impregnation. Its cost price is about 30 FF (1 500 CFA francs). The use of this trap by semi-nomadic breeders is actually submitted to a large scale evaluation programme.
