Abstract

Following a careful dissection, the topography of abdominal viscera in the dromedary (Camelus dromedarius) lying in sternal decubitus was studied on 30 animals of both sexes, either immediately after rigor mortis, or after freezing at -22 °C. A detailed description of the topography of the different organs and a comparison with other ruminant species is then provided.
