Abstract

The five viral strains isolated from Senegalese goats which had clinical signs of peste des petits ruminants were identified as oviadenoviruses type 5 with classical physico-chemical properties and characteristic morphology under electronic microscopy. Their serotypes were determined by seroneutralization test with reference antisera. Their pathogenicity in synergy action with other pathogens is discussed.
