Bovine sera from four administrative regions of Zaïre (Bandundu, Équateur, Bas-Zaïre and Shaba) were screened for antibodies to IBRIPV, RSB, PI3, and BVD-MD and rinderpest virus. Seroneutralization was used for all viruses but one, PI3 virus for which an haemagglutination-inhibition test was chosen. Sera with antibodies to IBR-IPV, RSB and PI3 virus were found in all the regions investigated. For BVD-MD virus, positive sera were found in significant number in Equateur and Shaba only and for rinderpest virus in Equateur only.
