Effet de la salinité sur la germination de graines de céréales cultivées en Tunisie
Résumé
The effects of salinity on seed germination for several cereal varieties grown in Tunisia (10 varieties of durum wheat, 5 varieties of bread wheat, 6 varieties of barley and 4 varieties of triticale) were studied. Six salt concentrations were used (NaCl 0 to 153 mM), covering the entire salt water concentration range found in Tunisia. The effects of NaCl on germination were evaluated by two criteria: radicle emergence from seed and leaf emergence from the coleoptile tip. The results classify the different varieties according to their salt tolerance: germination as well as plantlet emergence can be considered as indicators of salt stress tolerance for cereals at the first stages of development.Téléchargements
